White people do not grow up having to learn history because their reality benefits from not exploring beyond their privilege. We acknowledge BHM but we acknowledge Black history year around as well. My initiative is to continue to push black curriculum into the schools because our kids need that in order to help push for and shape a better future. That’s both inside and outside the city because more times than none the people outside of the city come into the city looking for work in multiple facets of society.
