This week's guest is Angelica Talan, a social media influencer and blogger out of Washington D.C. who grew up fishing with her family in Ohio but got away from it at some point. This week we are introducing the new monthly episode series called "One Day at a Time" with special guest Kate Grice Hough. Life can be a struggle and in these uncertain times, a lot of us have struggled with mental and physical challenges. I felt a calling to create this new series of The Woman Angler & Adventurer platform in 2022 to share stories of women who want to tell the story of their challenges with us in order to help others work their way through and find inspiration. You'll no doubt discover a common theme- using nature and the outdoors as a tool to overcome.  I first met Kate at iCast back in 2019. It seemed as though she had the world in her hands at that time. She was on track to be the first woman ever to win Co-Angler of the Year for the FLW South Carolina division.  It wasn't long after that, Kate was dealt a devastating blow to her health...and it's been a major rollercoaster ever since. Kenneth L. Kieser has had a long career and successful career as an outdoor communicator. For more than 46 years, he's been writing and sharing stories from the heart covering things like waterfowl hunting, trout fishing, women in fishing and so much more. His work has garnered him multiple awards including being inducted into the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame as well as the Waterfowlers Hall of Fame. I first met Kenny at the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers conference back in 2018 in Bismark, ND. We got to go fishing together on the Missouri River thanks to Angler Qwest pontoons. I absolutely love when I get the opportunity to do on-location interviews and this one is right up there with one of my favorites! I had an impromptu opportunity to take a week trip down to Perdido Key with some good friends, so of course, I jumped on it.
