Corners Of The World : Colombia
01/03/2021 Duración: 33minThere are many ways in which football in Colombia is thought of by the average football fan. Others are more negative, such as Colombian football’s historic connections to violence and dodgy funding. In this episode, Simon Edwards from World Football Index joins the podcast to discuss football in Colombia, and how it is now seen as presenting a very positive image of the country on the global stage. As well as this, the positive impact of clubs’ barras (ultras) have played in their communities is explored, as it the record-breaking support for women’s football in the country, and the different regional footballing identities that are present around the country.

Corners Of The World : Episode 5
29/12/2020 Duración: 20minChristmas Special – Finland! Hyvää joulua to all of you. As Finland is home to FC Santa Claus, it only seemed right to feature the country for this episode. Football isn’t the most popular sport in Finland; that title (currently) belongs to ice hockey.
