This season has been a busy one for the National Hurricane Center! This week we are pleased to have someone who knows that all too well - Taylor Trogdon, a Senior Scientist/Meteorologist with the NHC Storm Surge Unit. The Storm Surge Unit is a small group of meteorologists and oceanographers specializing in predicting storm surge heights associated with landfalling tropical systems, primarily using their SLOSH model.
