It is very small, about the size of the top of a key, and it fits on a key ring. The device works by applying heat to the bite, which breaks the cycle of itching and scratching. The heat is applied for between four and ten seconds, and depending on the settings, the temperature ranges from 120 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit.
