How would our lives be different if we really knew we were loved by God? Not for what we do but for who we are. We would be less anxious and more confident in receiving answers to our prayers. We would be less prone to falling prey to self-condemnation. But knowing this kind of love does not come with head knowledge or dutiful compliance to anything done out of fear.  It comes through the revelation of God’s Spirit to our spirit. That love will be manifested in our treatment of others and in the love we have for God Himself. God’s will is that “we be rooted and grounded in His love, and know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Knowing the love of God changes everything and perfect love casts out fear.
