Matthew 5, particularly looking at verse 7, Understanding the mercy of the Lord. As we look to the reading of God’s word, please join me and pray. God, you indeed are the source of all light. And by your word, you give light to our souls. So we ask that you pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding. That being taught by you in holy scripture, our hearts and our minds would be open to know all
