As section 2 of Isaiah opens, we are introduced to a brand new tone in Isaiah's prophetic voice; changing from one of coming judgment to one of promised comfort. That comfort is rooted in the promise of the coming Messiah and the hope of protection, provision and victory for God's people despite the current troubles.
