Patrick Lawrence Gilligan has woven a beautifully written novel that incorporates his own experiences in racing, history lessons of the sport and travels with his wife as they traverse the country in support of their son Jack during his apprenticeship in North America. He and his wife Vicky made the decision to travel with their son Jack as he went to competition in the Midwest. It is a wonderful tour of the people they met and places Jack rode while cutting out his career in the book titled “Around Kentucky with the Bug!” Patrick will discuss his book and the background behind it. Ryan Martin grew up in Louisville, Ky. and has been a horse racing fan for as long as he can remember. Today, Ryan serves as Media Relations Coordinator for Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots and Notes Writer at Arlington International Racecourse. The Fair Grounds offers no less than six stakes races on Saturday and Ryan will join “Racing’s Regular Guy” John Engelhardt to analyze the race action.
