Today’s podcast: Parliamentary budget officer Yves Giroux released his Supplemtary Estimates for 2023-24 and has said federal employees salaries and benefits topping $67-Billion is "worrisome." Also: the PBO stated and as Global News reported "the federal government's carbon price could generate more than $5 billion from the federal sales tax over the next seven years, but none of that is directly earmarked for climate programs."  Does the PBO stay with his analysis of 2022 that as the carbon tax reaches $170 per ton in 2030, lower income households should continue to receive rebates, but middle and upper-class households should be expected to pay hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, resulting in a net loss.
