He joined ESPN in July of 2021 as an anchor for SportsCenter and a play-by-play commentator for college football and basketball.   He also has a keen eye for fashion, with his distinct love for picking out patterns for his custom-tailored suits and finding the right tie to complement his ensemble. This renaissance man is an avid watch collector, sneakerhead, and car enthusiast.   Custer holds a degree in broadcast journalism from Hampton University and is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi.
