After injecting it from a prefilled syringe, the product can fill gunshot wounds and halt life-threatening bleeding within seconds. This product has evolved from versions of the company's hemostatic gel Vetigel first used for veterinarian applications and Cresilon Hemostatic Gel used for management of minor cuts.
