Tonight Kim Kolton and I will be seeking justice for Shawn McMillan. In the early morning hours of September 2, 2001 the 26-year-old was shot in the head in Tarpon Springs, Florida. The gun belonged to an off duty corrections officer, who said the fatal wound was self inflicted. But according to Shawn's mother Michaela Mahoney, the evidence doesn't support that conclusion. In her opinion, after the investigating police officers realized a CO was involved the investigation was completely mishandled. Michaela will join us to explain why she believes her son did not take his own life; and tell about her nearly seven-year battle to have his death certificate changed.
