The Washington Nationals took a 7-1 lead with a four-run sixth but gave it all back in a disaster of a seventh inning in which the New York Mets rallied for a six-run inning against the Nats' bullpen, tying it up at 7-7 before a pinch hit HR by Kirk Nieuwenhuis in the eighth put them ahead for good, 8-7.
