Meet the Author: Viveka Thompson (penned BlaqButterfly) was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Her love for writing began when she was only 13 years old as she wrote poetry. She would compete in contests and won 1st place in the city, the state and 3rd place nationally. She is an avid lover of the all different genres of music and art. Viveka also love to travel whenever she gets the chance. Driven to advance in life, she went on to receive her second degree in business, open an online business, and advance in her career; all while being a single mother to a handsome boy.  Also, she is in the process of starting up a non-profit organization to help the homeless. Her goal is to become a well-known authoress as she is determined to continue to produce novels for her urban novel readers to enjoy!
