August Egg Company’s Brown Cage-free and Brown Certified Organic Shell Eggs have Salmonella Contamination. This contamination poses a serious health risk, especially to infants, elderly individuals, and those with weakened immune systems.  Affected products bear plant codes P-6562 or CA5330 and were sold between February 3 and May 15, 2025.About 1.7 million dozen eggs are affected and sold at retail locations including Save Mart, FoodMaxx, Lucky, Smart & Final, Safeway, Raley’s, Food 4 Less, and Ralphs in California and Nevada. They were also sold at Walmart stores in California, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nebraska, Indiana, and Illinois.If you live in these areas, check your egg cartons for the listed plant codes and dates.
