Tributes are being paid to a man who died in a workplace accident in Ennistymon last Thursday (24th). Joe Crosse is understood to have suffered life-threatening injuries following a fall. The 46-year-old was a plasterer and retained firefighter in Ennistymon. He was active within the community there, where he managed the U9s at Ennistymon GAA Club. Joe also raised thousands of euros for a number of different charities. Indeed, back in December 2021, Joe appeared on Morning Focus to talk about running 52 marathons in a year to raise money for charity. Joe is survived by his wife Brid, children Teagan and Odhran, and extended family and friends. His funeral mass will take place at Clouna Church, Ennistymon today (Monday, 28th July) at 12 noon.
