The Minister for Agriculture has ruled out any compensation hikes for farmers affected by Bovine Tuberculosis at a conference in Clare today. In the first six months of this year alone, over 1,300 TB reactors were identified here, prompting calls for the maximum non-pedigree cow compensation rate of €3,000 to be raised to reflect increased operating costs and modern market values.
