This Sunday, 14th September, the Kilkee War of Independence Memorial Committee will unveil a new extension to their monument on O'Connell Street. The original monument, along with the new addition, honours the men and women from Kilkee, Kilferagh, Lisdeen, and the surrounding areas who volunteered during the War of Independence (1919–1921).
