Sinopsis
Two motions on HIQA’s review into urgent and emergency care capacity in the Mid West will come before today’s meeting of Clare County Council, Monday the 13th of October. One of the motions is asking for the local authority to call on the Government to commit without delay to the planning, funding, and construction of a new Model 3 or 4 hospital in Ennis. Meanwhile, the second motion asks that the Council calls on the Minister for Health to ensure that the new hospital recommended in the HIQA review of emergency healthcare services in the Midwest is located in County Clare. To discuss this further, Alan Morrissey was joined by Sinn Fein Cllr Tommy Guilfoyle and Maghera Fianna Fail Cllr Pat Hayes. Photo (c) Alan Place
