Have you ever had someone drive you crazy by nagging? A good example would be kids. I had a first hand experience at this recently; how about a bunch of 7 year old girls in the soccer team nagging non-stop while I try to get them to play scrimmage? "I wanna be a goalkeeper!" "I wanna kick the ball!" "Can I be on a different team!" This happened yesterday and I can still hear their little, screeching voices in my head! In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus tells a story of a woman who nagged her way to get the judge to vindicate her. She was too much for him to bear that he shouted "whatever takes to get you to stop coming to me!" You're right. Maybe nagging is not the best word for it. Persistent maybe? How about desperate?
