Morse Tan is a professor of Law at Northern Illinois University and visiting scholar at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law who has dedicated his studies to international justice. As a member of the American Society of International Law, he has worked tirelessly to promote justice abroad, especially in North Korea, which has one of the worst human rights situations in the world. His book, North Korea, International Law and the Dual Crises: Narrative and Constructive Engagement uses the perspective of international law to examine North Korea with regard to international security and human rights. ***He was most recently confirmed to serve in the position of Ambassador at Large for Global Criminal Justice after being nominated by President Donald Trump.***
