These things Jesus spoke, and looking up to heaven, he said: Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, so that your Son may also glorify you; as you have given him authority over all flesh, that he may give eternal life to all you have given him. And this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have glorified you on earth; I have finished the work that you gave me to do. Now, Father, glorify me next to you, with that glory that I had with you before the world was. I have manifested your name to the men that you gave me of the world; they were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now you have known that all the things you have given me come from you; because the words you gave me, I gave them; and they received them,  and they have truly known that I came out of you, and they have believed that you sent me.
