Center Point Assembly

The reason we've been speaking about the person of the Holy Spirit for so many weeks is to build up to Pentecost Sunday. This is the day that the Holy Spirit was poured out on the disciples and close followers of Jesus in that upper room. They were waiting for the "gift" of the Holy Spirit that Jesus told them about on a few different occasions. Most recently, Jesus instructed them ten days prior just before Jesus ascended into the clouds. So here they are, waiting for something to happen that they had no idea what it would be, but they were obedient. This is the beginning of the first day of the "Church" and it changed their lives as well as the course of history. What's important for us today is that this same Holy Spirit is desiring to give us the same experience and the same power in our lives.
