Shana East introduced an amendment to the Democratic Party Charter, entitled "Expanding Democracy by Increasing Voter Participation" detailing just some of the issues that took place during the 2020 Iowa Caucuses, where she served as a Precinct Captain for the Bernie Sanders campaign. She, and others, were on a call the night before the meeting with Jeff Weaver, in which he asked them to drop their amendments since they had made a deal with the Biden campaign.
