Meet Florence” Floetic Flo” Malone, a celebrated poet, spoken word artist and teen mom advocate. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio where her love for poetry spurned from her ability to express herself through creative writing while decompressing from life’s adversities. As a former teenage mother, she found a safe place inside the blank pages of a notebook and later found her voice to be a blessing to others. She is the creator of P.O.W (Power of Words) a traveling motivational initiative dedicated to positive affirmations, building self-confidence, and encouraging self-esteem through public speaking engagements and poetry performances. Her goal is to demonstrate the power of healing through words to our youth by sharing an alternative to the drug usage, sex and violence often used to mask pain. She has reached students at a host of high schools, colleges and community organizations with her message.  Florence introduced herself to the world of poetry with the release of her first cd, The Conscience Floetic
