Today we begin our Summer Wisdom series using the Old Testament book of Proverbs. This ancient text can be baffling in that it appears to be a collection of seemingly unconnected, random sayings. But don’t let that fool you! What we have is a carefully collected set of instructions meant to teach what would have been known as the “way of wisdom.” And though these instructions were sourced in antiquity, they are as relevant and insightful today as when they were first written.
