The concept of the Cloud Wage is that, if workers do not have to physically be in a specific location to do their job, then that job could, in theory be done by any individual, anywhere in the world. A Cloud Wage suggests the skill and ability to complete the task is all that matters - regardless of where that person lives. This creates great opportunities for those in poorer countries to get paid higher salaries by working on tasks for companies from richer countries. It represents an opportunity to raise the standard of living of those in poorer countries by increasing their salary. Great. But I believe it's a double-edged sword.
