Although Star Wars is intended to look futuristic, each episode starts with, “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away,” letting us know that it takes place in the past. And for most of us, there’s an appeal there because we often glorify our past and get stuck there. But getting stuck in the past can be dangerous. How can we let go of our past and look to things more life-giving?
