Sometimes our zeal isn't based on knowledge and zeal without knowledge is no good, but knowledge without zeal isn't much good either! We need to know the righteousness that comes from God, so that we can submit to it and can be zealous correctly rather than establish our own righteousness. We can't do this in our own strength, but He is the Lord our right thinking, the Lord who defines what is right thinking and allows us to be zealous in the knowledge of the righteousness that comes from God. He is the Lord who defines the right decision so I can do the right thing and the Lord my righteousness in my decision making.
