When 15-year-old Henry Forrest lies about his age to enlist in the Marines, he thinks it's his ticket to adventure. But when he's shipped off to the Philippines, the brutality of World War II's Pacific front is unfathomable. When the Japanese invade, Henry and the remaining members of his battalion become their prisoners.
