    On Monday the White Sox saw a 10-4 victory over Seattle yesterday. A five run inning set the stage. Jose Abreu went four for five with three RBIs including a two run homer in the sixth. Yoan Moncada also homered for the Sox.   The Cubs are coming off of a 9-7 win over the Rockies on Sunday. Today they begin a three game set against the Indians on the road. Lefty Tyler Chatwood gets the start on the mound looking for his first win of the season.

    Adam Wainwright out piched Tyler Chatwood on a chilly night at Wrigley Field last night helping the Cardinals win their fifth straight with a 5-3 final over the Cubs. The game time temperature was 35 degrees with heaters in each dugout. Lefty Jon Lester is scheduled to get the start today against St. Louis’ right handed Luke Weaver but there is a ninety percent chance of precipitation in the area.   Jed Lowrie had a go ahead home run in a five run first inning. Trevor Cahill pitched 7 scoreless innings in his season debut helping the A’s beat the White Sox 10-2.

    Chicago holds on to beat St. Louis 4-3. The Blues are now forced to win their last two games if they want to go to the playoffs.   The Cubs had Wednesday off. They’ll start a series in Milwaukee today.   The White Sox beat Toronto 4-3 Matt Davidson hit his fourth homer of the season. Jose Abreu had the tie breaking solo homer that put Chicago over the Blue Jays. The White Sox have their home opener against the Tigers today.

    Tommy La Stella’s two run double helped Chicago beat the Marlins 8-4 on opening day. Ian Happ, Anthony Rizzo, Kyle Schwarber all had home runs.   The White Sox doubled up the Royals 14-7. Matt Davidson became the fourth player in MLB history to have three homeruns on opening day. Tim Anderson also homered twice.

Zach LaVine remains sidelined from a knee injury, Kris Dunn is out with a toe injury, and Antonio Blakeney is out with a wrist injury. Rookie Forward Lauri Markkanen has been dealing with back issues and Denzel Valentine has knee issues, both are game time decisions.   Kevin Lebanc scored the deciding goal in the fourth round of the shoot out against the Blackhawks last night beating Chicago 4-3. Rookie forward Alex Debrincat scored his twenty sixth goal of the season ad chipped in with an assist. Conor Murphy scored his second for the last place Blackhawks they’ve lost six of the last seven games.

    The Blackhawks lose again, Bo Horvat scored his twentieth goal of the season as well as added an assist for the Canucks beating Chicago 5-2. It was a tough night for J F Berube, he was in net for Chicago, he had fourteen saves in eighteen shots. He’s suffering from a broken bone in his left wrist, this happened during the loss to the Knicks on Monday.   The Bears have resigned linebacker John Timo to a one year deal. He has nine starts and fifty three tackles in three seasons with the team.   Loyola Chicago continued their cinderella run through the NCAA tournament when they beat tenth seed Nevada 69-68. Chicago has an opportunity to go to the Final Four, they face K State tomorrow in Atlanta.

Chicago now 24 and 47 on the season. 16 points and 4 rebounds for Cristiano Felicio, 15 points and 8 boards for Bobby Portis and 14 points for Noah Vonleh. Chicago plays host to the Bucks on Friday.

Chicago overcame a career high, 38 point performance by Taurean Prince. The Bulls play host to the Clippers tomorrow and they will visit Memphis on Thursday.   Patrick Kane scored a tie breaking power play goal with 3:16 left and he also has an assist. This is after the NBA prodded the Bulls to play Holiday and Robin Lopez again. NBA owners passed a rule back in September to prevent teams from sitting healthy star players to lose on purpose to increase draft potential.   The Blackhawks are playing host to Carolina tonight. He had a homer and scored three runs when the cubs hammered the Indians 11-6. The White Sox beat the Reds 14-12 and Matt Davidson hit his third homer this Spring

The Bulls will host Memphis on Wednesday.   Ian Happ went three for four with a homer two RBIs with two runs scored as the Cubs win over the Rockies 5-4 in the Cactus League.   If you missed Sunday’s Blackhawks game then you missed Jonathan Toews dropping his gloves in a rare tussle with Duck’s center Ryan Kesler. It was the first time Toews was in a scuffle since October 2016. The Blackhawks are against the Avalanche tonight.

The eleventh overall pick fell to the ground running a grounder while facing Oakland. He was likely to geared up to be the White Sox third baseman. He’ll travel to Chicago for surgery soon.   The Blackhawks are preparing for their road trip. They start with facing the Sharks in San Jose this Thursday. After visiting the Kings and Ducks, Chicago is back home on Tuesday facing the Avalanche.

    The Chicago Blackhawks are now looking toward the future. The Nashville Predators gave up a first round pick as part of a deal to land forward Ryan Hartman from Chicago.
