Lucy is back from Hawes and delivered an outstanding review of the week in Ambridge, which in tribute to the late Ziggy Boneman included a reference to FFS. Roifield makes an impassioned plea for new DumTeeDums - please send them in. Lucy does a mean Vicky Pollard, but having been in Yorkshire she should have been channelling Eric Pollard (soap cross pollination there!). GoddessDeeva returns from the bottom of a bucket to tell Lilian that she needs to stop making an idiot of herself. But Justin has history and Anthea will put a stop to that. With Lucy taking a no-doubt well deserved holiday Shambridges, Harriet Carmichael, takes the second hot seat whilst the Newcastle meet up provides the Geordie DumTeeDum at the top of the show. Lucy is picking up high level BBC intelligence from secret drops in Epping Forest whilst she is recording Walky Talky. These drops includes this week’s DumTeeDum from Doha. Lucy then gets the order of the podcast wrong (twice) this week and Roifield leaves her apparent confusion in the final version. 20 year listener comedian Chris Neill then keeps Lucy in painful stitches (she had just been to pilates) for some 20 minutes as they discuss the ins and outs of our favourite programme. Chris first remembers listening to the death of John Archer. If he joined the cast Chris would like to live with the Grundys at Grange Farm and have a go on Tom should the opportunity arise. For the record Sean’s partner at the Cat and Fiddle was called Peter. Lucy then did the Bartleby not Joe joke! She then explains the Archer family tree to Chris as they are all related really, but they get sidelined over Peggy. This week the rendition of Barwick Green came from the Academic Archers conference at Lincoln - the largest number of voices ever! Huge proof of the ever growing community brings tears to the eyes of Lucy and Roifield. Roifield's mum said "Well done son!" Lucy is in full flow with the monologue covering the Home Farm party, Miranda, who kept turning up everywhere, Burns and the cricket team, Freddie and the driving lessons with Kenton, the fail proof plan for the Grange Farm B&B, Lilian showing off her underwear and Alastair trying to work with a partner. Roifield missed Lucy last week. Lucy was in New York with her family and reported on what she was doing there instead of making the podcast. A good time was had by all apparently. Lucy is living it up in New York this week and brings us a huge Barwick Green opening from the Big Apple posse of DumTeeDum who are out in force for her royal visit. The DumTeeDummers reflect on Caroline Bone and her contribution to The Archers over nearly 40 years. The podcast also salutes the passing of Sara Coward who has sadly lost her return match with cancer.
