Synopsis: This chapter outlines Solomon's effort to determine by experience the best way a person could live to discover meaning and purpose. Though he explored humour, wine, song, building projects, wealth, wives and acquired more than any other before him in Jerusalem, to his dismay all was empty. It was only by consideration of God and His gifts that brought Solomon enjoyment out of a life he grew to despise.
