Richard Brandt is the Founder and CEO of Codetrain, the first technology accelerator in Ghana to train young people to build apps and software.  Codetrain’s holistic approach connects its students to job and mentorship opportunities in addition to providing the practical skills needed to build a career in web and mobile application development, design, and online marketing. To date, Codetrain has held two boot camps at the British Council in Accra and provided training and mentorship to over 300 university students from Ashesi, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Ghana Technology University College, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, IPMC, and NIIT. Nearly half of university graduates in Sub-Saharan Africa are unable to land jobs.
