The angels went to Sodom where they found evidence of widespread wickedness without shame or repentance. God was merciful to Lot and His family to deliver them from the complete destruction of the cities He burnt with fire. Jesus tells us to remember Lot's wife, and praise the LORD God remembers mercy even in His judgment.
