Part 18- This is the epilogue for the weekly reading from my first book "The Constant Procession."  It includes reflections I gleaned during the writing of the book and the feelings I experienced while visiting apparition sites where the Madonna has appeared. At her encouragement during her appearances, people have experienced feelings of Faith and Hope and of Comfort and Encouragement that is so lacking in the world today.  Also while working on publishing the weekly podcast over the past three months, I found that the global challenges of the day found solutions from the Holy Mother's apparition guidance to seers in times past. This is the seventeenth and final installment of my first book The Constant Procession I hope you have enjoyed this memoir that includes how I came to write about the approved apparitions of the Virgin Mary. NOTE: These final chapters were written before this current protracted war between Russia and the Ukraine. The time period I wrote about began in 1922 when the Ukraine was totally controlled by the USSR. In 1991, the USSR broke into the numerous independent countries that included Russia and the Ukraine. Russia became the most powerful country in the region. Chapter 28 continues to describe this earlier time when the "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" (USSR) existed- 1922 through its destruction in 1991. A period when Ukrainian churches were under siege by the anti-religious Communist. However, it was Ukrainian Immigrants to North America who kept these Christian churches alive in this diaspora. This installment continues at the end of WWI, Those who died on the battlefields were the best and brightest of their generation.  The toll and mourning for those young men held a seldom remembered additional burden beyond family tragedy. For the world at large their deaths created a vacuum of natural leaders across all countries.  Nihilism filled that leadership void. The weaker replacements ushered in the attitude that "anything goes."  The "Roaring Twenties" lead to the "Great Depression." WWII started and began to repeat the deadly cycle. But then, a Marian apparition from long ago broke the spiral.
