Psalm 62:1-7 1 I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. 3 So many enemies against one man— all of them trying to kill me. To them I’m just a broken-down wall or a tottering fence. 4 They plan to topple me from my high position. They delight in telling lies about me. They praise me to my face but curse me in their hearts. Interlude 5 Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. 7 My victory and honor come from God alone.

Psalm 35:1-9   1 Contend, LORD, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me. 2 Take up shield and armor; arise and come to my aid. 3 Brandish spear and javelin against those who pursue me. Say to me, “I am your salvation.” 4 May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay. 5 May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the LORD driving them away; 6 may their path be dark and slippery, with the angel of the LORD pursuing them. 7 Since they hid their net for me without cause and without cause dug a pit for me, 8 may ruin overtake them by surprise— may the net they hid entangle them, may they fall into the pit, to their ruin. 9 Then My soul will rejoice in the LORD and delight in his salvation. 

Psalm 51:11-19   11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.  12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.  13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you.  14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.  15 Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise.  16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.  17 My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.  18 May it please you to prosper Zion, to build up the walls of Jerusalem.  19 Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous, in burnt offerings offered whole; then bulls will be offered on your altar.

Psalm 51:1-10 1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.  2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.  4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge.  5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.  6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place.  7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.  8 Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. 9 Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity.  10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  

Psalms 1:1-6   1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,  2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.  3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. 4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.  5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.  6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Psalm 18:1-5   1 I love you,Lord, my strength.   2 The Lord is my rock,my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation,my stronghold.   3 I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies. 4 The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. 5 The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me.

Psalm 13:1-6   1 How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?  2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?  3 Look on me and answer, LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,  4 and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” and my foes will rejoice when I fall.  5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.  6 I will sing the LORD’s praise, for he has been good to me.

Psalm 91:9-16   9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Psalm 91:1-8   1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”   3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

Psalm 33:16-22   16 No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. 17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. 18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, 19 to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. 20 We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. 21 In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. 22 May your unfailing love be with us,Lord, even as we put our hope in you.

Psalm 119:1-8   1 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,     who walk according to the law of the Lord. 2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes     and seek him with all their heart— 3 they do no wrong     but follow his ways. 4 You have laid down precepts     that are to be fully obeyed. 5 Oh, that my ways were steadfast     in obeying your decrees! 6 Then I would not be put to shame     when I consider all your commands. 7 I will praise you with an upright heart     as I learn your righteous laws. 8 I will obey your decrees;     do not utterly forsake me.

Psalm 123:1-4   1 I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven.  2 As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he shows us his mercy.  3 Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt.  4 We have endured no end of ridicule from the arrogant, of contempt from the proud.

Psalm 130:1-8   1 Out of the depths I cry to you, LORD;  2 Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.  3 If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?  4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.  5 I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. 

Psalm 25:1-7 1 In you, Lord my God,     I put my trust. 2 I trust in you;     do not let me be put to shame,     nor let my enemies triumph over me. 3 No one who hopes in you     will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those     who are treacherous without cause. 4 Show me your ways, Lord,     teach me your paths. 5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,     for you are God my Savior,     and my hope is in you all day long. 6 Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,     for they are from of old. 7 Do not remember the sins of my youth     and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me,     for you, Lord, are good.
