Europe is much farther down the climate alarm rabbit hole than the United States is. Specifically, the Netherlands climate goals have come increasingly at the expense of farmers. The policies have ended generations of family farms in one of Europe's most vital breadbasket countries in the name of reducing CO2 and nitrogen emissions to meet EU climate goals. Could it happen in the U.S.? Yes, if we don't carefully rein in Marxism in our schools and growing bureaucracies. 

Electric vehicles cost much more than most people realize, with many costs borne by taxpayers and ratepayers hidden from public view. The true cost can be almost double the sticker prices when subsidies for electric charging and fuel economy credits are included. Despite this, they don't sell or function well. The other day, Heartland Institute Research Fellow for Environment and Energy Policy Linnea Lueken was a guest on the Ron Arquette Show on KRNS radio in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was invited on to talk about a new paper she wrote with Heartland's Tim Benson titled "Debunking Four Persistent Myths About Hydraulic Fracturing." The other day, H. Sterling Burnett, Ph.D., the director of The Heartland Institute's Arthur B. Sterling was asked to be on to talk about how President Biden "kind of" declared a climate emergency, or at least said as much in a recent interview with The Weather Channel. It has been a crazy week in the climo-sphere. Fires in Maui were blamed on “climate change” by the media, only for them to find out that this wasn’t the case at all!President Joe Biden, after having a disastrous week of optics sitting on the beach while Maui burned, decided to fly there Monday. With the perfect setting for “disaster porn” from the burned city of Lahaina, he may finally declare an “official” global climate emergency next week.The Biden White House loves their optics!Also, a bunch of kids in Montana (well, actually their handlers) filed a climate lawsuit against the state citing the Montana constitution provision for a clean environment. They just won, arguing with exaggerations and cherry-picked data. Special guest, Climatologist Dr. Judith Curry will discuss her role in defending that lawsuit and her observations.
