The purpose of the Parent/Child relationship is to make Jesus known. The parent’s role is to bring up and nourish a child through instruction and discipline. Not one or the other, but both always. Discipline should be corrective, not destructive. That means it ought to always be done in love, not anger, as an extension of nourishing our kids.

Conflict — Matthew 18:15-22 If you have a relationship, you're going to have conflict. Getting our mind around Jesus’ teaching on conflict resolution is critical to the health of our marriages, the good of our kids, and the witness to our neighbors.

We have to build marriage in the foundation of the grace of Jesus Christ, and intentionally apply God's word in marriage.

Most people love gifts at Christmas, but the best gift ever was God's gift of his Son, the greatest demonstration of God’s unconditional love. John 3:16, 1 John 2:15-16, 2 Corinthians 13:11

Why did God announce the savior's birth to lowly shepherds? To give us hope and clearly communicate that His salvation is for ALL people, not just the religious, wealthy, and sanitized. This should bring great hope to those of us who feel insignificant.

Most people come to church because of the influence and invitation of a trusted friend. So your strategy should be to invest in people by building intentional relationships for the sake of eternity.

God didn’t just establish giving for the sake of the church. He established giving for His people so we’ll be generous, and so we can have money without money having us.

Having money is a blessing. Money having you is a curse.
