Bible In A Year

In this episode we look at the outline of the book of Exodus and the story it tells of the people of Israel as they are freed from slavery in Egypt. This is ons of the central books for the Israelite identity and so is important not just now, but throughout the Bible in a year

In this recap at the end of week 4 we look back over the book of Genesis, seeing what it tells us today, and then also look forward as we begin the book of Exodus. These books are the foundation of the Hebrew Bible called the Torah, and foundational to our own experience of God in the Christian faith.

In this episode we look at the whole of the book of Genesis and how it sets out the beginning of God's story.

We have listened through a number of books in this week and so in this recap at the end of week 50, we will ask why these are covered so quickly.

In these two weeks we have been reading through the Gospels which tell us of the life and works of Jesus who is called the Christ. Many of these works have been miraculous and wonderful in nature, and in this recap we are going to look at one specifically, from Mark Ch8 verses 22-26. There is a phrase that has been repeated a LOT over the last two weeks and that is 'This is the declaration of the Lord' and variations of it. We will look in this recap at that phrase and what it means.
