Our spiritual maturity is often tested by our emotional response to the circumstances and people that provoke anger in our lives. God is calling us all to something. No matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you believe, God is calling us all. This seems so unbelievable, because we tend to miss that calling. We miss it through fear, doubt, denial, or just simply not listening. Moses is the chief instrument of deliverance for God's people, serving as in iconic example of faithfulness to God. In the origin of his story we see how God uses the courage and ingenuity of his family to preserve Moses' life and eventually set his course towards one of great promise and faithfulness. The Lord’s prayer is a prayer that is focused on us looking and living more like Jesus. One of the hardest pieces of this prayer is the truth that we’re called to forgive those who have wronged us. When we’ve been wronged, hurt deeply and personally we tend to want to ignore the pain, see the one who wronged us as evil and unforgivable, and return the pain they gave us. But typically the hardest thing about forgiveness is our misconception of it, what it really means to forgive, who it benefits, what it can offer, and how we can do it.
