I want to talk about for a moment is, what about your heart? How do you care for your heart in the middle of this chaos? We are seeing the fruits of what is, at its root, a spiritual battle where the enemy is out to steal, kill, and destroy. Stealing a man’s dignity and taking his life because of the color of his skin. Undermining the courage of leaders and righteous law enforcement personnel. Destroying communities, livelihoods, and property out of pure hate.

This time of lawlessness is surely an unusual time in all human history. Leon Morris says that it is “a way of life that refuses to recognize any divine law, which is identical for Matthew with a way of life in which one’s neighbor no longer has any legal claim.” 2 Our Lord has been expounding upon the qualitative nature of the spiritual condition of unbelievers that will characterize the tribulation period, specially the first half. This description of lawlessness strikes a parallel to Paul’s description of the “man of lawless” in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. The age in general, climaxing with the second coming of Christ, has the promise that those that endure to the end (Matthew 24:13), that is, survive the tribulation and are still alive, will be saved, or delivered, by Christ at His second coming. This is not a reference to salvation from sin, but rather the deliverance of survivors at the end of the age as stated, for instance, in Romans 11:26, where the Deliverer will save the nation Israel from its perse

The year is now 2020 and many people around the globe are wondering if the end of the world is near. I don't think there has ever been such a widespread interest in this topic like there is today. And who can blame people for wondering, when you see what is happening to our world. The signs of the end are prevalent. War, famine, natural disasters, incredible and rapid increase in knowledge. Poisoning of the air and water. Birds of the air and the Fish of the seas dying in huge numbers.

Psalm 105:,17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: 18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: 19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.

HAVE FAITH IN GOD

When I Look Back Down The Road When I face a trial or test and I know I've done my best I know somehow the Lord will see me through When temptations come my way I get on my knees and pray and I say Dear Lord now it's up to you. chorus when I look back down the road where I laid my heavy load and I think of all the victories I've won sometimes I get a thrill when I look back down the hill and I see just where the Lord has brought me from. There's a valley down below and no doubt I'll have to go to walk that lonely road again someday but it's not so bad down there with lilies blooming everywhere and the Lord's traveling with me all the way. There's a river wide and deep a mountain tall and steep but you know I've been this way before I'm much stronger Lord this time and I know I'll make it fine cause that mountain it don't bother me no more.

This freedom is of the spirit and is possible only through Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost, who was promised to us when Jesus went to the Father. Over the years, since my personal life with Jesus began, He has shown me numerous stumbling blocks to my freedom, handed down to me from ancestors. One of the most powerful and all-encompassing was a spirit of fear I received from my mother. Some of the many other oppressions were; alcohol, depression, insomnia, sexual lust, selfishness and loneliness, to name a few. Luke 4:18-20 [18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, [19] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

In order to protect our hearts from the pain and wounds of the world we both consciously and subconsciously build walls. God knows our pains. He knows our wounds. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” God is for you. He longs to be near to you and save you. But in order for you to experience the fullness of his love and healing you have to let him in. In Psalm 57:7 David writes, “My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident” (NLT). God is the one who protects our hearts. There is nothing we can do to fully shield ourselves from the wounds this world causes except allow our hearts to be fully open to God. Only in God can we have confidence. Only in God can we trust. And only in God will we experience true, abundant life.

Some of you may think you have endured your own personal Gethsemane; but you have never been yielded to God enough to say, “Father, I only want your will to be done, and I will bow to whatever it is.” When you truly want your life to be everything God wants it to be, you are on receiving ground. Many people have fooled themselves into thinking they were on receiving ground, but it was not God’s receiving ground. lUKE 22:42 If you are supposed to meet somebody at a certain place, you have to be there; or you won’t see them, and it is the same way with God. In Jesus' instructions to the apostles he told them to return to Jerusalem and tarry or wait for the promise of the Father. Luke 24 :44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. :45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, :46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: :47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. :48 And ye are witnesses of these things. :49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. :50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. :

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) Dunamis power, the subject of this lesson, is what everyone wants but few are willing to pay the price for. He’s as much in and with you when you “feel” the anointing, as He is when you don’t “feel” anything. You shouldn’t bring God to the realm of the senses and feelings, because He doesn’t deal in that realm. Sadly, some Christians think something is wrong and God is far away when they don’t sense His presence.

Take Off the Old, Put On the New.. Ephesians 4:22..That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Stop putting negative, hurtful things into your mind, and start watching and listening to things that edify Jesus and make you more like him. In the renewal of your mind, you’ve got to put off before you can put on.

Faith...Taking God At His Word October 25, 2017 Save Article " What is faith? Faith is not a hunch. Faith is not positive thinking. Faith does not believe everything will work out. Faith is not responding in emotion or feeling to miracles and signs. Faith does not simply believe that God can. Faith knows that God will. Real faith is death to doubt. Faith is taking God at His word. It is dumb to discouragement. It is blind to impossibilities. It knows that God will. Now this is the kind of faith we need. Romans 5:1-2 says, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God."

God’s Word says that it’s through faith and patience that you inherit the promises. b. From the time you pray and ask God, until the manifestation of the thing for which you are believing, you will need to exercise patience and keep your eyes on Him. c. Abraham waited for 25 years, from the first time God promised, until the birth of Isaac, who was the manifestation and fulfillment of the promise. d. By the time Isaac came along, Abraham and Sarah were physically incapable of producing a child – he was 99 and she was 90 and barren. e. By that time, Abraham’s faith in God was so strong that he was fully persuaded that what God had promised, He was also able to perform. f. He did not consider his body or Sarah’s body; he was not weak in faith; he did not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief; he was strong in faith, giving Glory to God. g. Pray for the power of the Holy Spirit!When God sent the Holy Spirit to earth, it was a declaration that the work that had been done in Jesus was finished. He had come in the fleshSin is anything that goes against God’s will and His laws. To commit sin is to transgress or disobey these laws. The lust to sin dwells in human nature. In other words, it is contaminated and motivated by the sinful ... , as a human being, without ever being defiled or contaminated by His flesh. Not once! He loved His Father and He did the will of the Father in all things until He came to the cross on Calvary. And there on the cross He also had to commit Himself to the Father in faith. Because there was a great darkness that fell over the whole earth and that darkness also entered into His soul, and that was the first time that the Father had forsaken Him. Then the Son Himself had to commit His spirit to God in living faith. Then the work was finished. With the Holy Spirit we get the Spirit of power, and that is important in order to

Have you ever heard yourself or someone else say, “I can’t believe God’s Word; it’s just impossible!”? Jesus says in Matthew 23:37, “How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!” Jesus was looking for their willingness when He wanted to gather the people of Israel, but He had to acknowledge that many were not willing to believe. The same is true today. In His mercy, Jesus has extended us an invitation through God’s Word, but the question is whether we are willing to believe it.
