Kicking off 2022 we bring Andy Baxter into the hotseat for this episode, taking over musical duties from Mambo Brothers who are taking a little winter break. Andy is one of Café Mambo’s longest serving resident DJs and this year celebrates 20 colourful years playing in Ibiza. As a well-respected musical selector, Andy has also held down residencies at many of the island’s best night clubs as well as prominent hot spots including Pacha, Destino, Sankeys, Blue Marlin, El Chiringuito, Jockey Club, Casa Maca and Hostal la Torre. In the winter months, Andy Baxter is often touring both with Café Mambo and, more recently, has been personally selected by none other than Mr Pete Tong (MBE) to warm up huge arenas for his incredible live shows with Jules Buckley and the Heritage Orchestra. 2021 has been another unusual year for most of us. In Ibiza and elsewhere around the world, the dancefloors have been mostly closed but that certainly hasn’t stopped the quality of dance music we’ve still been enjoying.
