Today, in the first hour, I once again had the Sunday Afternoon Conversation with Ron Edwards. Liz Cheney said that she will support the opponents of GOP candidates whom she deems “election deniers.” We take a look at the latest story out of the Oakland Unified School District in California. Oakland once had one of the most successful reading programs in the entire Golden State for inner-city kids. It was based on phonics and utilized tried and true methods of learning to read and sounding out letters, rather than memorizing words. But the teachers worried that they were promoting "colonialism" and they made a change that led to the student success rates dropping significantly.
