We are excited to welcome the new additions of Caleb Thomas and Toni Anderson to our Waypoint staff team! Toni is our new Children's Ministry Director, and Caleb has stepped into the role of Youth Director. As they have assumed these new positions, we wanted to take a moment to give our Waypoint family an opportunity to get to know them. Hear how they came to faith, how the Lord brought them to Waypoint, and what excites them about their new ministry role. Danny is joined in studio this week by Lawrence, Erika, and Megan as they take time to reflect on the original vision for Waypoint Church and how we continue to carry out that same vision today. During this episode, some of the staff share what originally attracted them to Waypoint, how they have seen different ministries and initiatives grow over time, how they've seen people enter into new life stages, and share some of the ways Waypoint continues to prioritize our core values (worship, the Bible, gospel community, nations, missions) and our church's mission (Reach the Triangle. Reach the Nations. Love the Triangle. Love the Nations). In all of this, our desire is to trust God with the future of Waypoint Church as we remain committed to maintaining our core DNA and as we continue living out being a local church with a big heart for the world.

Originally scheduled to be a breakout session at our Women's Conference, Erika plays host as fellow Waypoint members, Lisa Parrott, Mary-Claire Derrickson, and Rebekah Dorris share their experiences about being a Christian who is single. Listen in as they give insight into the joys and challenges of singleness in the church, reflect on ways they've seen the Church do well to celebrate the single life, and also some of the unhelpful things they've encountered. Hear how God is still good, even if he doesn't give you all the desires of your heart, why "when" statements can be unhelpful, and why the whole body should be willing to enter into the messiness of life together.

And why are there so many different kinds of churches? How does the Bible define church and how do we determine what's descriptive and what's prescriptive? With so many different resources, ministries, and parachurch organizations out there, do I even need the church? Pastor Lawrence is joined in studio by fellow Waypoint members and semi-cryptocurrency gurus, David Green, Greg Gilland, and Caleb Goodnight, as they discuss the basics, origins, and future of cryptocurrency. Listen in as they explain what cryptocurrency is, how it works, if it's safe and just, and so much more. This fascinating conversation can get pretty technical at times, but there's much to chew on and sift through as you learn more about this form of currency and its potential benefits in various areas of life and ministry.
