President Higgins, accompanied by his wife Sabina, has travelled to Malta to participate in the annual meeting of the Arraiolos Group of 15 non-executive European Presidents. Gaisce –The President’s Award is a self-development programme for young people aged 14 -25 which has been proven to enhance confidence and wellbeing through participation in personal, physical and community challenges. On Wednesday, 29th June, 2022, the President and Sabina Higgins celebrated the many different groups, organisations and individuals who contribute so much to our rich music and arts scene across the country and particularly through the medium of Irish traditional music.
