This past Wednesday the federal government released hundreds of pages of documentation concerning the firing and physical removal from Canada's most secure microbiology lab in Winnipeg of scientists Xiangguo Qui and Kedong Cheng. A CSIS report revealed Qui had worked closely and covertly with Chinese government labs and collaborated with "institutions in China whose goals have potentially lethal military applications."   Guest: Elaine Dewar. George Lovie, convicted double first degree murderer of former NHL/Team Canada goaltender Don Edwards was this past week permitted leave by the National Parole Board in an area the Edwards family is requesting he be denied access (Brantford, ON). In October of 2023, the federal government removed the carbon tax from home heating oil for three years, a measure most beneficial to Atlantic Canadians. Justin Trudeau though has refused to provide a similar carbon tax carveout for Canadians heating their homes with natural gas or propane, used by the majority of residents in the prairie provinces.
