  • QUICK HIT: "The One to Avoid?"

    01/03/2017 Duración: 05min

-Maryland Governor Larry Hogan (R) has declared a state of emergency as his state has seen an epidemic of overdose-related deaths due to due to heroin and opioid addiction. According to Jeff, Maryland experienced 1468 overdose-related deaths between January and September of 2016, and that period was not unique, as the rate of overdoses has been increasing for several years now. The guys examine the issue of drug abuse, and Stu looks back on the 1986 cocaine-induced death of basketball star Len Bias. Will this latest event be a similar turning point in the effort to combat drug abuse nationwide?Listen to Pat & Stu for FREE on TheBlaze Radio Network from 5p-7p ET, Mon. through Fri. www.theblaze.com/radioTwitter: @PatandStuFacebook: PatandStu Learn more about your ad choices. • 2/28/17 - Hour 1

    01/03/2017 Duración: 47min

President Trump has announced his plans for military budget increases. The question now is whether the alleged increase of $54 Billion is an actual increase or just an increase over previously stated projections.Yes, it’s true; we do have a military budget greater than the rest of the world combined. We also have the most freedom at stake due to our commitment to defend all NATO members. Stu says he would like more research and development of advanced weapons systems, and Pat reiterates his point that cutting waste is okay even if cutting military spending as a whole is not.Trump also graded his first weeks in office and gave himself some good grades. The president gave himself an A-plus for effort, an A for results, and a C-plus grade for messaging (communication). As a whole, the guys agree with his self-assessment.Speaking of results, Trump has taken heat for not filling hundreds of government jobs. The fact is, he does not want to fill those jobs in order to cut back on government bureaucracy. The figure

  • 2/28/17 - Hour 2

    01/03/2017 Duración: 47min

Elon Musk’s Space X will take two paying customers to the moon as soon as next year. The passengers will orbit the moon (not land on it) for an undisclosed fee ranging from $80 Million to $300 Million. Hilarity ensues as Pat and Stu try to pry the right figure out of Jeffy and Stu insists that they create their own space company to send Jeffy to the moon. They’ll do that by strapping dynamite to him, but we digress.Pat despises the fact that the space shuttle program has been shut down and Elon Musk is now relying on a primarily Russian space organization to run his “Space Uber” business. That said, everyone on set agrees that they would pay the fee to orbit the moon if they had the money to spare. If a self-driving car causes an accident, who is at fault? A new law in the UK says that the passengers within the self-driving car they own will not be held liable for an accident. Does this mean that Tesla will get sued every time one of its self-driving cars? The guys discuss what the future might hold.Speaking o

  • QUICK HIT: $54 Billion Increase?

    01/03/2017 Duración: 18min

-President Trump has announced his plans to increase America’s military budget. The question now is whether the alleged increase of $54 Billion will actually result in a tangible rise from military spending in 2016. It could simply be an increase over projections of military spending. The guys offer their two bits on the plan and describe what matters most to them in regards to the budget of our armed forces.-Stu would like to see more research and development into advanced weapons systems. Pat does not wish to see our military spending decrease because we have more freedom to defend than anyone else. That said, he would be glad to cut back on waste.Listen to Pat & Stu for FREE on TheBlaze Radio Network from 5p-7p ET, Mon. through Fri. www.theblaze.com/radio Learn more about your ad choices. • QUICK HIT: The 'Despicable' Son?

    01/03/2017 Duración: 10min

Ron Reagan, the liberal son of the great conservative president, has appeared in a commercial for the‘Freedom from Religion Foundation’ and unleashed a wave of pure douchiness in the process! Introducing himself as a proud atheist, he calls for donations for an organization designed to protect the separation of church and state “as the Founding Fathers intended.” In short, this doesn’t fly well on this show. Pat informs listeners that Ron Reagan is simply riding his dead father’s coattails to draw attention to liberal causes and explains that the separation of church and state is designed to protect religion from government (and not vice versa).Listen to Pat & Stu for FREE on TheBlaze Radio Network from 5p-7p ET, Mon. through Fri. www.theblaze.com/radio Learn more about your ad choices. • QUICK HIT: A Day to Celebrate Jeffy

    01/03/2017 Duración: 03min

It’s Fat Tuesday, which means we are celebrating our favorite Fisher! It turns out it’s also National Chocolate Soufflé Day… if only we had some of that for SPOONS! And, on a completely unrelated note, a new ordinance for a city in Sweden would give all employees of the town a paid hour to go home and…well, use your imagination…Listen to Pat & Stu for FREE on TheBlaze Radio Network from 5p-7p ET, Mon. through Fri. www.theblaze.com/radio Learn more about your ad choices. • QUICK HIT: Two Tickets to The Moon

    01/03/2017 Duración: 15min

Elon Musk’s Space X will take two paying customers to the moon as soon as next year. While the two passengers will only circle around the moon and not actually land on it, the project apparently already has its two customers. The guys hilariously fail to come to a consensus on how much they must have paid, and Stu comes up with some ingenious plans to form the show's own space program. This begs the question: if we sent Jeffy to the moon, would it start orbiting him?Listen to Pat & Stu for FREE on TheBlaze Radio Network from 5p-7p ET, Mon. through Fri. www.theblaze.com/radio Learn more about your ad choices. • FULL: Mistakes and Meltdowns - 2/27/17

    27/02/2017 Duración: 01h33min

-Pat’s BYU Cougars just beat the #1 college basketball team in the nation! Yet, despite getting the big win on the road at Gonzaga, our favorite Provo grad says his team is probably still going to the NIT. Also, Cleveland Cavaliers’ star Kyrie Irving thinks the world is flat…yes, you read that right…-President Trump announced that he will not attend the White House Correspondents dinner. He will be the first president to miss the event since Ronald Reagan, who missed it because he had been shot by a would-be-assassin. The guys praise Trump for not being vindictive in his decline, as he did not demean the event and wished everyone else a good time.-On a related note, why has Reagan’s would-be assassin, John Hinckley Jr., received limited parole? He is now allowed outside of a mental hospital for a portion of every month. He shot the President of the United States… The guys make it clear that this is a man that should remain behind bars.-The Conservative Movement IS Donald Trump! According to Politico, the new

-Pat’s BYU Cougars just beat the #1 college basketball team in the nation! Yet, despite getting the big win on the road at Gonzaga, our favorite Provo grad says his team is probably still going to the NIT.-Staying on the hardwood, Stu admires Kentucky for finding a way to exploit the rules of college basketball in a completely legal way. He will be the first president to miss the event since Ronald Reagan, who missed it because he had been shot by a would-be-assassin. The guys praise Trump for not being vindictive in his decline, as he did not demean the event and wished everyone else a good time. Hopefully, this will lead to the end of the event, which was started by the progressive Woodrow Wilson.-On a related note, why has Reagan’s would-be assassin, John Hinckley Jr., received limited parole? 27/02/2017 Duración: 47min

-2017 will be remembered for the greatest Oscar presentation ever!-Well, that's one way people are looking at it... It would have been bad enough had the memorial for costume designer Janet Patterson (which erroneously featured an image of producer Jan Chapman) been the worst mistake of the night. If you've been living under a rock, the biggest award of the night, Best Picture, was awarded to the wrong film... -Was the presenter handed the wrong envelope? Should he have checked with a representative? Did he make the best of a horrible situation? The guys offer their decidedly unbiased opinions.-The guys play a clip of Keanu Reeves training for shooting various guns throughout the making of John Wick 2. He's really into the task at hand, and Jeffy and Pat get to thinking about various war films featuring major battle scenes. In Jeffy's mind, 'Hacksaw Ridge' was not as good as 'Saving Private Ryan.'-"Get Out" - the racist horror movie –scored a stunning 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie

  • QUICK HIT: Pat 'rectifies'?

    27/02/2017 Duración: 05min

-There was no way we were making it through this show without Pat taking a few minutes to bask in the glory of his BYU Cougars' victory over #1 Gonzaga on Saturday night. Sadly, our favorite Provo grad also says his team is probably still going to the NIT.-Stu admires Kentucky for finding a way to exploit the rules of college basketball (notably the "one-and-done" rule) in a completely legal way. • QUICK HIT: Another great decision?

    27/02/2017 Duración: 04min

President Trump announced that he will not attend the White House Press Correspondents dinner. He will be the first president to miss the event since Ronald Reagan, who missed it because he had been shot by a would-be-assassin. Pat and Stu examine his statement and applaud the president for not being vindictive in his declining to attend, as he did not demean the event and wished everyone else a good time. In fact, the guys hope that this will be the first step to the event going away altogether.Listen to Pat & Stu for FREE on TheBlaze Radio Network from 5p-7p ET, Mon. through Fri. www.theblaze.com/radioTwitter: @PatandStuFacebook: PatandStu Learn more about your ad choices. • QUICK HIT: Donald Trump = Conservative???

    27/02/2017 Duración: 16min

The conservative movement is Donald Trump! That was the focus of Politico's report on the president's visit to CPAC on Friday. The guys question many of the points in the article, asking:-How has Trump been able to begin the process of "bending conservatism to his image"?-How has he managed to "re-define what it means to be conservative"? -Why did Kellyanne Conway say that 'CPAC' (Conservative Political Action Conference) should become 'TPAC' (Trump Political Action Conference)? Perhaps the better question (according to Pat) is: how did she get here after starting on the Cruz campaign? The guys agree that it doesn’t matter whether Trump is completely right; changing your fundamental principles based on the ideals of one man within your ranks is just wrong.Listen to Pat & Stu for FREE on TheBlaze Radio Network from 5p-7p ET, Mon. through Fri. www.theblaze.com/radioTwitter: @PatandStuFacebook: PatandStu Learn more about your ad choices. • FULL: Soda Tax Kills?

    23/02/2017 Duración: 01h32min

This morning we sadly learned that Fox News political commentator and former Hannity and Colmes co-host, Alan Colmes, has passed away. He was 66 years old. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.-Stu brings up Ellen Degeneres' statement on the latest White House statement on transgender bathroom rules and explains how he would like it to be a state matter rather than a federal issue. Pat wonders why only the feelings of the transgender individual matter during this time and how everyone else is practically excluded from the debate.-Stu reports that the 100 protesters who refused to leave the Dakota Access Pipeline area destroyed the land they camped in. Is the protest really about the pipeline or just a chance to protest for no reason? The guys wonder how big are the spills from these pipelines? Surprisingly the statistics show that they're not really that big of a deal with a few rare exceptions.-We have an update on the balloon currently floating on the high ceiling in Stu's house. Having
