What have you been feeding your heart? Psalm 1:1-2 suggests that we should steer clear of wickedness and sin, but rather let the law of the Lord be our guide. Life has a way of taking our small compromises and escalating them to the point where they become larger problems. Whatever you’re casually walking with today you’ll be standing in agreement with tomorrow, and then sitting in fellowship with the next day. Everyone struggles with fear, whether it be the fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of uncertainty, fear of being judged, fear of change, fear of inadequacy, fear of loneliness, or one of countless other fears. Fear tends to hold you back, and it will always keep you from getting where God is calling you. We are reminded in Joshua 1:9 to “be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua also reminds us to not only meditate on scripture day and night, but also observe all that is written. Guest speaker this week: Pastor Sam Smucker, of Worship Center in Lancaster. When Jesus gave his life on the cross, the Bible says in Matthew 27:51 that "the earth quaked, and the rocks were split." It also says in Matthew 28:2 that there was another earthquake when He rose from the dead. After an earthquake, it's common for there to be Aftershocks that continue to shake the ground. Similarly, we want to Resurrection to send Aftershocks through our spirits long after the Easter season ends. We know that His voice now burns within us, and the Holy Spirit fills us with boldness to be His witnesses.
